Lifelong learning is the hallmark of a professional, and many regulatory boards and professional associations have requirements for their licensees or members to earn continuing education units (CEUs) in order to maintain their license or active status.
NCIDQ Monographs
NCIDQ does not have a continuing education requirement for its Certificate holders, but we recognize that it is an important component as interior designers progress throughout their career. To serve our Certificate holders, we provide continuing education monographs that offer interior design professionals outstanding, timely resources for handling cutting-edge issues in the field.
Free Online CE Registry
Active Certificate holders can now self-report any continuing education activity at no charge through their MyNCIDQ account. This exclusive benefit adds an additional layer of value to your NCIDQ credential. Active Certificate holders may wish to print a copy of their CE activity from the paper-based system as a record. You may even wish to enter some of them in your new registry.
We've provided step-by-step instructions on how to add your CEs to the online registry.

Paper-Based CE Registry Ending June 30, 2011
NCIDQ has operated and maintained a tracking program for continuing education courses for the profession for 15 years. This is essentially a transcript of all of the continuing education programs that have been completed by an individual interior design practitioner. Participation is voluntary, but allows individuals to keep one central record of their continuing education. Anyone may participate in the registry; being a Certificate holder is not a requirement.
This registry will be shut down after June 30, 2011. No courses will be accepted after that date. You will be able to view and print your transcript from this registry through June 30, 2012. We recommend printing a copy for your files.
NCIDQ only enters courses approved by IDCEC in this registry. We do not approve courses or conference sessions. Only members of IDCEC have that authority. NCIDQ simply maintains the database as a service to the profession.
Participants should send their participant form and certificate of completion given by the provider and the proper payment to NCIDQ.
Active Certificate holders may view and print their CE transcript through June 30, 2012. Most jurisdictions with CE requirements will accept this transcript as evidence of completion.
